Justice is the twelfth card in the Major Arcana. Perhaps unsurprisingly, this card represents fairness, truth, and the law; justice in its many guises. In some cases, this card can represent a literal fight for justice, but is most often about your search for truth and for good. As another card of karma, it is a call for balance. When reversed, it asks you to consider your relationship with power, and to evaluate how you exercise the power you have. Justice reminds us to take responsibility, and to reflect upon how our actions affect others. As with those who deliver justice in society, this card is asking you to consider your options carefully, to connect with your inner guide, and strive for goodness.
Nedley as Justice
In the beginning of the show, we see Nedley appearing to be the definition of responsibility, fairness, and overall, the law. He bumps heads with the rules breakers, specifically Wynonna, and we really see his love for justice. As the show continues, we see Nedley’s ability to demonstrate a balance between fighting for what’s right and searching for the truth between the lines. Much like Justice reversed, Nedley goes through a journey of self-discovery, reevaluating his relationship with his power of being Sheriff, doubting his own authority at times.
